Andy Rooney is on our back! He even put us in the same storey as the oil tanker spill, fried turkeys & the Chicago Cubs!

I saw it on tv. It sounds to me like he has never seen a "real" hunting bow shoot anything. He has probably got the image of a small woman's bow not good for anything more than target shooting. Isn't it ironic that some people say bowhunting is barbaric (like most of Europe) and that the only humain way to hunt is with a gun, and some people say that gun hunting is a shamefull and slob's way to hunt (picturing a fat greasy guy stomping through the woods shooting at unaware and peacefull deer from miles away) and that if you were a real hunter you could use your skills and get close enough to deer to harvest them with a bow.
Neither one of these folks has any kind of understanding as to what a good rifleman, or a good archer can or cannot do. It's a rifle, not a magic wand of death. It's a bow, it's inherintly harder to hunt with. Bow hunting is not the most effective way to keep deer herds in check, gun hunting is. I love to bow hunt and have killed many deer cleanly with one arrow so it isn't barbaric, on the other hand, gun hunting is much more practical if you know what I mean.I just have to rant when I hear people associating up hunters with deep fried turkeys. I hear those deep fried twinkies are great though.

I preface this in that since he declares bowhunting barbaric it is safe to assume that he supports and may even be a member of an animal rights wacko group . . . and they are facists in the purest of forms!

No doubt, Andy is a "PUTZ", but he has attacked just about everyone on the planet at one time or another. I doubt many people take him serious.
Plus, I just read a story about this yesterday, and don`t remember the remark verbatum, but it went something like..."be careful going to war with someone who buys ink by the drum!"
Make him mad and look out! He has the ear of many more people than we do on a regular basis!
Not a bad idea to write him a respectful letter, but I think I`ll just stick my tongue out at him next time he is on my TV!<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Oh Andy is out of control. So i respectivly replied to his story and basicly asked him how many more places you can hit with a bow and arrow that you can not hit with a gun. that is about the stupidest thing i have ever read.
