Trasal Glands
Can you tell by looking at the tarsal glands of a doe if she is ready to mate? A fellow hunter said that if the glands are dark , she is in heat.... Any truth to this? .... Thanks...

RE: Trasal Glands
I dont know, but if it is true dont shoot the does with the dark tarsal glands because you never know what might be behind her.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Trasal Glands
Far as I know you can tell on a buck what's going on by the tarsls but I have never noticed a change on a doe.
Lift her tail and sniff!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> |
