Your favorite hunting conditions?
 

Ok, what your favorite hunting conditions as far as your setup and weather goes?

Mine would have to be that perfectly still day (the one's when you can hear a mouse fart) with a crisp 32-35 degrees. If there is a wind it needs to be a WSW for my favorite spot set up in a funnel....... To me these are the days when every footstep you hear is "THE ONE" you've waited for.

I like any day i can actually sit on stand..i know thats not what you were looking for but its true:D

For elk fog and lots of it. You can weave right into the herd and they are constantly mewing its really a treat. Deer i live for the cool november mornings with snow on the ground and the sun is just starting to break.

40 degrees, lightly overcast and 5-10 mph wind. I find when it is dead calm, deer seem to move less. I hate real windy, rainy days. JMO :)

I absolutelylove hunting while it's snowing.

Big goose feather snow flakes piling up all around you, its just awesome to watch it come down.

cold and snowing with about 2-4 inches of snow on the ground. Oh what a great day!!!!!

a dry aid (low humidity) day, front moving in later that night, high winds, forecast for big temp changes - I like very windy days, deer move a lot it seems, they aren't comfortable staying in one spot, they can't see you move as well either and the wind is very predictable

or 2nd / 3rd week of october, after its been dry for a few weeks and right after a rain - that REALLY gets the bucks to the scrapes to freshen them up

Being in Northern Kentucky I've had very few chances to hunt when it actually snowing be I could see it being exciting.

I could really get into hunting in the snow I think . . .here in S Mississippi, we only get that opportunity maybe every 20 yrs. For me, a light sleeting rain and colder temps coming in have been my most productive days. All around I'm happy with overcast skys before an overnight rain.
