I don't know if its net or not ........ I'd say yes, it was a net score, although the gross couldn't have been more than 10-12' more I'd think

It is a great buck but I can't see it netting 179 3/8's. I would bet about anything that is gross score.

It also looks like it is a photo from a "local" big buck contest as it says mens archery on the dry erase board.

I read the orig article again and its a gross score, with a 172" net in or about
