If your counting, no I do not. Your assumption that the bad people will take over if I don't is absurd. From where I'm sitting there is no difference in either party and I have no desire to stick up for either. Here in Ohio there are more democrats who support a sportsman than their are republicans, doesn't say anything worth saying. The education of the people is where victory will be found. Your answer is for an idiot to vote. Voting is what you advocate isn't it?

Your deal is exactly what I hate, the use of fear to motivate people to act a certain way. I refuse to respond to such supplications and unfortunately that is the modus operandi of the powers that be today. I believe, based on history that is a pile of s*** and will led to the fall of this great nation as it has of past great nations. I really don't see us doing anything different than any others that have gone before us.

Anyone who cares, read books written by a great American, Clayton Cramer.

Tell me some thing, if everyone voted and the out come was the same, what would you blame it on then?

Anyone who wants my vote had better not try and convince to vote for them based on how much worse their opponent might be. Know any politician who doesn't operate this way? I don't.

Ever ask yourself this question, could not voting save this great nation? We are nothing new and many have come and gone before us. Cartage fell because of a vote. At it's time it was THE super power. Marched right up to Rome's door and terrorized it. Led by one kick ass general. His own country, through the vote of the paid off poor betrayed him. 8 years later (if I recall) it fell to Rome never to rise again. It's greatgeneral was called back by the basta*** and asked to protect it. Proving his greatness he returned because of the patriotism instilled in him by his father. The people who were voted into power had already wasted the country beyond salvation and he failed in his efforts, retreating to another country still engaged in fighting off the roman yoke. It failed as well and instead of surrendering he took his own life. Well over 2000 years later military leaders still study his tactics.Carthage was also ruled by only 2 political parties much like ours. A great deal like ours. It was though the gift of welfare that the poor, the largest voting block of the country, gave away it's existance. Yes, even then, it was through the vote that people were put into power and the masses were bought and paid for byboth parties.

Get educated before you (the message) come on here pushing that "your unamerican if you don't vote" crap. And for Peters sake, the last election just ended, give us at least a years break.

Don't take anything I've said personally, it's the idea, philosophy, mantra that I have a problem with. I'm sure your a swell guy. Your a hunter after all.
nodog ......two things .....

1. One tactic people use to justify their rebelious spirit is much words. You think you can elevate yourself above those that believe in something by having a nonconformist attitude, using big words and stretching history to fit your narrow way of thinking.
Back it up![8D]

No I do not vote. I have lost all respect for politicians. You cannot trust them no matter what they tell you. I get so sick of their adds on TV. Here in Mo when Clair McCaskill ran against Jim Talent there was not one positive add on TV.All they said is how bad the other guy was, don't vote for him or her.

I used to be a shop steward in a union shop. When Clinton ran they had to support him because he was a democrat. HE WAS FROM A RIGHT TO WORK STATE FOR GOSH SAKES. Yet the Labor Unions supported him because he was a Democrat. Blind Loyalty!!!!

I believe it is also my right to choose NOT TO VOTE.

This is America Right?

It is your right to vote or not..... one day we may not have a choice ... it will be made for us.

I often wonder why people who feel like there is nothing but corruption in government, don't try and run themselves ....... I guess most people would rather just sit back, lukewarm and let things happen the way they happen instead of fighting for a cause ....

kinda reminds me of David and Goliath ... the entire Israelite army sits back and gets challenged for 40 days ... doing nothing. ONE DAY A YOUNG BOY WHO BELIEVES THERE IS A CAUSE GOES OUT AND SLAYS THE PHILISTINE CHAMPION. .....OOPS....caps off .....

You that sit back have a right to do so ..... I wouldn't be proud of it though ... or try and justify it ..... but you have that freedom also ....Thank God for the men and women that fought for something ... for you to do it ......

There is no way on this earth you could get me to run for an office. The honest guy doesn't have a chance with all of those lying POLITICIANS. I would be forced to act like them to have a chance. I would not put my family in the way of their attacks.

Interesting you should bring that story up. If I remember right Saul was voted into power. Davids actions had nothing to do with voting.

Yes, I vote Republican because it is the best for my way of belief.

I wish there was a party that believed in no foreign aid to other countries, a strong military, our borders secured, low taxes, no welfare to losers that scam the system, and concealed carry permits except for felons and thementally ill.

Am I asking for too much?:D

That may be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard HCH... Thank you.

And if you don't vote... you don't have the right to complain about the people in office.

Don....you sound like you're looking for the Libertarian party.

But Don....did you REALLY say you'd institute socialized medicine??? Really? For all the views you showed above.....to promote big government getting involved in our healthcare matters, frankly,.....surprises me. I want WAY, WAY, WAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY LESS government.

Teejay.....You asked...

What would have Gore done after 911? Give them a big ol "You better not do that again or else" pfft Al Gore please!
Or else "what"? He'd have done exactly what he and Bill did when our WTC was bombed the first time......and when the USS Cole was bombed.

NOTHING. In my opinion.....it's what's led the terrorists to think they're so empowered, today. Al and Bill (and all liberals) have forgotten the "Carry a big stick" part of the "walk soft" statement.

Germ....we agree on most but differ on our Iraq views, it seems. If GWB had invaded Afghanistan and stomped outOBL prior to 9/11 (therefore thwarting the attack on our country)....he'd have been considereda hero by many but still chastised by the left as being a "Hawk". In MY eyes....(along with many other Americans)....I think his PRE-EMPTIVE actions in Iraq did 2 things: No. 1 -- He crushed the threat of similar attacks by Sadaam Hussein. No. 2 -- He sent the message to other terrorist (and terror harboring) nations that we will not sit back while you prepare to mete out punishment on us by preparing your armies.

You think Lybia got the message?????
