JNTURK, you know I was being sarcastic about the license! But I am sure someone has made one up and was just looking!!

Sure, I'll sell you a license for whatever you want, but my prices are outrageous:D Also, once you have the license you will still need to buy him separate tags for each shed he finds and before he moves them they will have to be filled out and attached to the shed. Else you all would be subject to severe penalties. May God have mercy on your soul.

All my trail cams tell me not to bother shed hunting yet as they all still have their head gear.

Shed hunting in the snow can be better at times because the bones stick out like a sore thumb rather than blended in with the ground. It takes quite a bit of snow to cover up a shed completely. Yes some of it may be covered but keep an eye out for tines or burs sticking up. Sometimes you will get a big snowfall early which will freeze in hard and form a crust, then any shed after that time will be held up on that crust rather than sinking down to the bottom. If you get a huge dump of snow while they are shedding hard then yes it will be difficult, but snow at certain amounts and times can be your best shed hunting tool.

I saw a racked buck yesterday here in Ohio so it's a tad early yet in these parts.

In smaller places, you have to be careful not to bump the bucks out of the area before they've shed. It can be tough if you have to compete with other shed hunters.

good point you bring up GregH. Im even leary of bumping them out of there normal area before they shed, it makes it harder to find them. Got another one on game cam this afternoon with both sides.
