Thought I would share
 

This was emailed to me so I thought I would share:

" A very eventful day around here... A once in a lifetime experience!
Mark saw this little guyrun out in front of a car, thought it was a lost baby goat. Stopped to get it, and WOW. A real Albino Whitetail Deer. Justhours old, but doing fine. No Momma deer around. Another car nearly hit itin front of Mark...
Well,, he is THE neatest thing any of us have ever seen. And such a 'freak ofnature', that only 1 in more than a million are even born. He took hisbottle of food, followed us around the house, doing great. So, we called theZoo & Fossil Rim, who were both interested, but we're going to send him to aRehab farm. Maybe he will make it in captivity somewhere and be appreciated.
So rare... Sure wanted to keep him tho. but, not the thing to do. And notLEGAL either ; But, here are a couple of pix to show ya. He is snow white,pink eyes, ears, nose and hooves. Kids called him POWDER. Heis SO small.That is my shoe lying beside him... WOW..how cool is that??"

It's cute.....but this has been around so long that deer's a 10 pointer, by now.

does anyone know if an albino deer will live jus as long as a normal deer? does it make any difference? i was jus wondering

I have heard that they dont live as long.

They don't live long because you can see them from a mile away.

Usually albinos are not genetically as strong. And being all white they don’t have the natural ability to blend in to there surroundingsto hide(no deer camo).

Thats pretty wild. Wonder if he maybe it thru his first year? Probably not.
