Off-season fun: Archery goose hunt (Video only for a day)
 

Deer season has come to a close here in Missouri so yesterday morning two buddies and i headed out to a standing bean field to try something new and challenging. We set up about 6 dozen full body goose decoys and climed into our double bull in attempt to stick some geese. After a long morning and pleanty of misses we ended up with 4 geese. We had shots ranging from 15-65 yards. What a way to get ready for this spring and turkey hunting. I am currently working on editing the video and should have it loaded up tonight. Heres a couple pictures of the fun.

Sounds like a blast. Were you using a blind? If so, what kind?

Congrats, I have done that with ducks but not geese, but I have always wanted to.I have tried with geese, but the problemhas beenI waswith other hunters that were using shotguns, and I had my shotgun too soInever had a good chance at killing one with my bow.Thats cool that you and your partnerwent with bow only, I need to do that. I admit with the handfull of ducks I have killed with my bowmore on have been on the ground or waterthan in the air. Did you kill any in the air or did you wait for them to land then let the arrow fly?
