Of course, you can simply replace the tube.
Or, go to a pro shop, and look at options for getting rid of the tube all together. (Better string, d-loop)

If your string is setteled in I'd go to a 3/16 true peep without the tube its quieter and you will gain between 7 and 10 fps .

If information provided by the members of this board have helped you please let us know .

Mountain Dew, let me suggest you try the fletcher peep.(3/16)
there's no tubin to make that slappin noise, and you don't have to worry about tube breakin.:)

As suggested by someone last year, get some black "beading cord" from a sewing/crafts place. It is like the elastic in underwear and replace the tubing with it. You will have to drill a little hole in the post, but it's no big deal if you have a portable press. I have been using it for this season and am well-pleased. It still assures you of a properly aligned peep, and eliminates the annoying rubber tubing slap sound. It is lighter than the tubing, so a little less string weight.
