RE: Turkey Hunt Question
I've had MUCH better results with much more devastating cuts and put downs while using large cutting mechs. Actually this may be one of the ONLY threads where I've seen more than a person or two even suggest shooting a fixed blade b-heads at a Gobbler??? Just really no reason not to in my humble opinion. When shooting at one of the toughest birds you'll find you want to crush and what better way to do that than smackin' 'em with a 2" Rocket Hammerhead or the awesome 3 1/2" Sledgehammer!

RE: Turkey Hunt Question
I'll be using Rocket Hammerheads, 2" mechanicals this spring. My buddy has used them andgobbler guillotine (sp) heads. The gg's are toopricey for me plus the uber-long arrow.
I really like Wasp Jakhammers and thought about using them with double bands. Hoping to put a lot of shock energy into the bird trying to open the blades. |
RE: Turkey Hunt Question
I'd go w/ a fixed head. But as it was said before its all about the shot placement.
