Over the last 2 season I have had many encounters with this buck.

Last year in early November I saw this buck 3 days in a row. The first afternoon he was about 200 yards off chasing does in a field. The following afternoon I moved to where I saw him and missed him at 40 yards. Then again the following morning I shot a doe and lowered my bow to the ground and looked up and here he came down a trail. Gave me time to get my bow up nock an arrow and then he ran off.

Then for one last time that year he came out in front of me at 50 yards during the shotgun season and I only had an anterless only tag.

I failed to see him during the rut this year and then on December 14th I saw himbedded withdoe and stalked within in 40 yards of him with my bow, but a limb was in the way of his vitals. I took a different route and the doe was then in the way and they took off.

My dad later saw this buck 2 more times throughout the day with the doe.

My sister told me she got some pictures of a nice buck the other day so I took a look and I guess the big boy made it through the year.

Great looking buck, he just has that mature buck look, it's something with the way the eyes look. Almost piercing. :)

They really pierce your heart whenthey look at youcoming down a trail that leads 10 yards past your stand and your bow is on the ground.

Well, at least he made it though the year. Go find his sheds and set him as your goal for next year.

He sure is a dandy of a buck , nice wide rack , tall tines he'll be a good size monster next year.
I hope you can find his sheds , he's something to look forward to next season.

IBH, That is an awsome looking buck. Just imagine what he will look like next year!

How old do you think this deer is? I would say 4 1/2, since he was still an extremly nice deer last year, and didn't grow all that much this year.

Also I'm going to guess the high 130's maybe into the 140's. Regardless of what he scores I want another crack at this guy.

Great pictures and a great story. Hopefully it will have a happy ending for you. Good luck and like was said before, you've got to be pumped for next year knowing he is still around.

Nice buck.. he really does not look that old at all (4 1/2 probably). He'll scare you if you get the chance to see him next season.
