How many times did you hunt, this year?
 

Just wondering .....with the "how many years" poll out there.....how many times did everyone hunt, this year....total.

I hunted 46 times.

I just put the bowhunting deer hunts in the poll
I also hunted 4 days with my ML during early ML season
I will have 3 more days, 2 last weekend and this coming Sunday hunting the late anterless season
That gives me a grand total of 21 days of deer hunting
I also went pheasant hunting 3 times in Dec while the shotgun season for deer was open.

Not enough hunting time!

I don't know exact number of hunts, but I spent about 190 hours on stand this year with a bow in hand according to my journal. I spent another 60 or somore with a rifle and muzzleloader.

I was out about 35 times this year, saw about90 deer total, not a bad ratio.

I did not get to hunt much becuase i had football and wrestling. so it takes up about 10 days out of my hunting.

not sure exactly, but im sure it was over 50, twice a day 4 days a week (sometimes more)... from sept 15th till december... and im still going out now, just not as much.

I went out every day for the first two weeks in Oct. , then just about every other day and on the weekends right up togunseason.
Then a couple of days during the weeks of gun season and muzzel loader seasonwith my bow , then about seven days during the late archery season.
A total of 35 to 40 days in the woods hunting the same general area of 480 acres seeing alot of does but not that many bucks.

I was in the woods about 40 times. No luck on elk this year, but I got my whitetail buck my 21st time in the stand for him. Since then I have just "hunted" a couple of times for does. I put that in quotesbecause I was basically just getting out of the house and into the woods with noreal intention of killing anything.

I've hunted about 100hrs so far this season, it's not over until Jan 27th.;)

Just about every evening and a few mornings. Since me being a late starter in bowhunting and not a lot of timber inthe area that isn't hunted, makes for a long year. Though the two spots I hunt (close to town and a tree line south of town) I do manage to get a deer each year.Probably seen a total of 30-40deer (some being the same ones) passed on a couple that were slam dunks this year. Leaving me with my only doe this year down in Shawnee... Next year may be different, as the family and I really love the meat...;)

well over 50 days this year. only does to show for it though. im going to give hell this saturday and try to nail that big boy.

I missed 6 days where I wasn't able to get out at all. Otherwise I was out either in the morning or afternoon to hunt. For 17 days straight I was in the woods all day every day. That was nice. God I wish it was September.

I hunted 79 times this year. Over 220 hours.

I did put my time in this year. I was out every day at least in the morning till 10:00 almaot every day! and then I was all for morning and afternoon from 15 Oct to 3 Dec. I had a great begining and end the middle wasn't so great, but all and all a good time. I hope to do it again next year.

I usually get out about 200 hours each season. In 2004 and in 2005 I had roughly 250+ hrs. or so for each season.

2006 my hours dropped much lower, as I had no land close to home. I still would guess about 100-140 hours in stand.

MD season is open until 31 January so I'm still going. Hope to get in at least 5 more hunts this year which will drive the total to about 45 hunts.

I chose24- 30 thinking deer, but if I count squirrel shootin it's the max.

I didn't keep track this year. I did last year and it was kind of a hassle. Last year I was laid off all season and logged almost 500 hours in the woods. I didn't get to hunt quite that much this last season though. I'd say somewhere between 245-270 hours. Very successful though, I was able to harvest 3 mature bucks 3 1/2 yrs old and older. A fine testament that patience is a virtue, and good things come to those that wait.

I think it was 8 with bow and ML(6 bow--2ML)and I got two deer. I believe I small game hunted about 30 times. It might be more--I can't tell you for sure. The small game taken is more than I can count.

I assume you mean bow hunts only, I would be way over 50 if we included waterfow, turkey etc.
I voted 35-40 based on morning and evenings being seperate hunts, if you asked how many days it would be around 22.

I have missed one day of deer hunting in 8 years in Indiana. We start Oct 1 every year and go through the first weekend of January. I put in 521 hours this year.

I usally get out at least 3 times a week for the whole season.Not this year,I blew out two disks in my lower back in the first week of Dec.I've been basically sidelined ever since...Bob

210 hours....26 deer seen.....4 deer taken.....But I got my brother,Dad,Grandfather,and uncle all deer! it was a good year!
