Mapping Trophy Bucks; Brad Herndon

I just picked this book up from Barnes & Noble tonight, has anyone else read it?

So far its pretty interesting. I was looking for a book that would explain how to properly read topographical maps and how to relate that to real world hunting.

I've read it....3 times. It's a great book for learning to read topography, no doubt about that. It's also good for learning how deer relate to that topography...I just wish it covered more on arial photos....Excellent read though.

Thanks, Mobow.

So far it seems pretty interesting. I've decided to start buying more hunting related books to build my library up a bit. This seemed like a good one to start with.

It's a great book and it does help somewhat in learning to read topo maps, but you will not be an expert from this book alone.

I read it..I'll agree with others. It helps you relate a topo to deer movement. But no real insight (IMO), If you already know how to read a topo

great book for the average map reader(like me) but somebody like buckeye probably wont benefit from it to much. Like mobo i to wish it covered over arial maps a little more.

What section would you find this book in B&N? it sounds like a good off-season read. How much did it cost too?
