Quiet Connectors for Waist Belt/Harness

Anyone have any suggestions on some of these rated for climbing? I have been using the ones that came with my summit harness and another waist belt. They are noisy though and the screw together type loops. I want something that snaps together with me in control of how fast it closes. Also, are there any suggestions on noiseless clips for hauling up the bow?

Thanks, LT

I use the standard harness provided w/ Summit's stands....It's very quiet. No noise at all.

What type of buckles/loops are on your harness mobow?

There is a tether w/ a screw on carribeaner on the end.....it screws to the prussic knot/rope wrapped around the tree.

Oh, obviously the tether is on the harness, attached to me....

I would shoot ya a picture, but it's at my mom's house at the moment..

Is that the loop with the screw together on one side? I want something that is quick release and quiet.( and of course rated for a fall)

Yes, it's like a D ring w/ a treaded post on one end.....

What about switching it out with a caribeaner(sp?) that people use for rock climbing? you just clip it in and dont have to worry about unscrewing the threads from summit one. Just a thought.

Wrap electrical tape around a d-clip or caribiner* no more clang.

If you could get the "real deal" and not a cheap-O immitation, that would work very well I think. Such as any of these....

You really do need a locking "Beener" though....it just eliminates any chance of that thing popping open under load.
