RE: css bows?

I shoot a reflex right now, but own a CSS , I have owned Hoyt, Mathews, Mountaineer, Bear, Browning. Out of every bow I have owned, I would classify them as this in order of quiet, speed, and confidence I had in them to do the job.
1) Mathews
2)Reflex
3)CSS
4)Hoyt
ect...
Now some of the bows listed above may have tied in my opinion. I really don't think anyone is making a "bad" bow anymore. I think alot comes down to your confidence level in your shooting ability and the confidence you place in the bow to do what you want it to do. I have never, ever worried about speed with any bow I have ever owned. I shoot Gold Tip arrows 29 inches long with 100 grain Thunderheads with a Keller Pendulum sight and to this day ,68 deer with a bow and have yet to have a deer get out of the way of the arrow once it is released. I have missed deer but not due to the speed ,or lack there of, of the bow that I was shooting, but more likely due to a mistake I made prior to release. In comclusion CSS makes a great bow, if you have the confidence in your equipment you can not go wrong.

RE: css bows?

for the speed and let off that you want the challenger or the express the challenger has an IBO of 310 and has a adjustable let-off of 60%-75% or the express it has a IBO of 305 and 60%-75% let-off, i shoot an early model system 1perimeter cam bow for hunting and have had no trouble in close to 4years of hard hunting. what ever bow you chose i think you will be happy....matt htpp://community.webshots.com/user/mattcss

RE: css bows?

I have a system 1 right now and it is very forgiving and quiet. I have the pro tune on mine and it puts the brace height out to 8.25 inches and it makes a great hunting bow. I have shot 8 differant brands of bows in the last 8 years and I went to css because I have never seen one go back to the shop for anything other than strings and cables from my experience they are trouble free.
For the speed you want I agree the challenger would be a good choice that will be my next CSS. If you go to fastestbows.com they have reviews on the swampmaster and the challenger and it makes for very good reading.
If you give them a try I think you will be very pleased I know that I am with mine.
I hope that I helped good luck!
