Where did all the deer go?
 

This hunting season was the absolute worst season(bow and gun)I've ever had hunting in the U.P. and I believe it's because a combination of these factors,the DNR (Department of No Reason) re introducing and protecting the wolf and giving thousands of doe permits for years and still letting hunters take two bucks,don't get me wrongI love being able to shoot two bucks,but this year I only saw two all year!!!!I shot the one eight point and let the yearling spike go.I would gladly take only one buck a year if they would go to an earn a buck system. But thats just my opinion!!! Oh by the way I probably saw about 1000 does while hunting.

And you are calling that a BAD year???? Man alive, what have all the "big buck" videos done to us.......[&o]

We have antler restrictions here, and I HATE them. With a passion. Don't get me wrong, if you own the land and self impose those, hey, more power to ya. Nothing wrong w/ that, but I hate the fact that some politician sitting at a desk is telling me what deer I can, and can't, shoot. Sorry, hope that wasn't off topic, I'm finished now...

Everything went 100% nocturnal around here.... :( After the main rifle season, it's difficult to have success bowhunting.
