RE: It Had To Happen Sometime!!! (long)

Thanks all,

I really had fun looking, I was alsovery surprized at how well some of the bows shot as opposed to others but I must say they all were very good bows. I just picked the one that I felt the most comfortable with. I did go into it open minded to a limit though. I wanted to stay with a single cam bow so the Hoyts kinda didn't stand a chance. I did however want to shoot them just incase they shot way different than I imagined they would, but they didn't. They shot good but the hybrid cam system felt very much like my Browning Oasis, not bad mind you, just not what I was looking for in a hunting bow.

I will take some pics when I get it all set up. I didn't buy the bow I tested so this one is bare. I did get the Ross 2 piece quiver for it so now I will look around for the rest of the components. I have plenty of time as I will finish out the year with the ones I already have set up.

BTW: What team did you play for?
Denver.....Seems like another life time ago.......till I try to get out of bed in the morning then it ALL comes back to me!:D

Germ....Which Ross are you shooting now? How is it holding up? They seem to be built exceptionally well, that was another reason for buying it, I couldn't get over how well they are put together. I also like how they slightly offset the riser below the stabilizer holeso that the string is a true center shot....pretty cool!

Tell us all about the Cardiac when you get it!

Very cool.

I enjoy reviews like these the most. Simple, practical, and real. Just a "regular" guy out shooting bows relaying what he saw, felt, and heard........almost like a conversation you would have with a buddy on the phone after he got home from shooting new bows.

You probably felt weird dealing with a cash register and getting a receipt

Congrats on the new bow and post some pics when you can.

Enjoy.
To be honest, it was a little hard for me to tell the difference in the different bows, some stood out but others were so similar it was hard to describe the differences in them. For instance, to me the Hotys shot just like my Browning Oasis, pulled pretty much the same but with slightly less hand shock at the shot, I mean slightly. Both are hybrid cam bows anddraw very similar to each other.

To me those things don't mean too much. All I do is hunt so a little hand shock or a slightly harder pullis not a deal breaker, hellwhen a deer is in my sights I don't even feel the draw weight ornotice theshot going off at all, I'm so focused.

I just went with the one that overall felt, shot and IMOlooked to be built the best.

Yeah it was kinda weird buying a bow from a dealer.......what's this whole "warranty" thing anyways?:D
