BLAZER VANES

Do you like blazer vanes better than regular vanes, why or why not?

RE: BLAZER VANES

I usually don't preach about using the search feature, but there is a ton of information about Blazer Vanes on this forum. I'd search this forum, technical, and the equipment review forum, you'll get lots of info. Personally, I love them. They are light, VERY tough, they stabilize my Muzzy broadheads well (field points and broadheads hit the same place), and I think they even make the arrow quieter (they don't ripple through the air making noise). You won't be tearing them up like regular vanes. The only Blazer I tore up I actually shot an arrow thru it, and it was hanging there. It didnt even tear, just made a hole. Down side: some people have problems with fletching glue, but if you read up on it, there are lots of suggestions to make them adhere better, like using wraps for one, not cleaning the base cuz they're pre-treated, etc. Also, they are high profile, sometimes that causes clearance issues, but that is usually correctable. They're probably the best vanes I've used, and I don't plan on using anything else soon. Hope this helps.

I tried the 2" onesthis year because they gave away free samples so I thought "why not?" Anyway, they are now on every one of my arrows. They fly well and are much quieter than the 4" vanes I was using before. I got the flourencent yellow ones and they light up like a beacon against white tails and mule deer.Theyareas good as I hadhoped, but they did nothing for my downrange trajectory like they advertised they would. Didn't change at all.
