Mullets weren't all that bad. I had one for a long time.

I prefer Mullet to the " Bowl Top" haircut I had.
When I was about 13, all the kids in school called me Bowl Top or Bowl Head. I didn't like it, but looking back now, I guess I can't blame them:D Here's a pic of me when I was 13 ( 1977) with my first deer. |

I suggest a "Joe Dirt" style mullet.;)That would look pretty cool. |

My hair was really long for a while. I kinda had that Jesus look going on.
On day I got it all cut off while getting a haircut. I saw a sign asking for locks of hair to make hair pieces for kids with cancer. " Locks for Love" I told the hair stylist to cut it all off and give it to them. She ask if I was sure. I said Yep, it's for a good cause. Benn short ever since. Its fun to look back at these pics from everyone and see the changes in camo, and equipment. The hair styles are funny too. You gotta love my mullet! :D |

ORIGINAL: whitetailsoldier hey Greg H, just curious...How has hunting rules and regulations changed since you started way back when. I always seem to envy the days where you would hunt for food instead of sport. I suppose most of us do it for both but I still think it would be cool. I started out as a sport hunter because it was fun and I was 10, carrying a BB gun. It was my parents job to supply the food. No concern of mine. As I got older, my mom learned how to cook venison better, and I came to enjoy it. When I moved out on my own, I supplied my meat with it.Then they started with the bonus tags, I became both meat and sport hunter. I still am to this day. The rules and regs have changed more in the last 5 years than they did the previous 30. I have to print out rules and regs every year and read them closely. They have gotten more confusing than ever. The good part though is that you have more oppertunity to hunt deer than you used to. You can almost shoot as many as you want in a season compared to one or two like seasons past. |
