I got mine from Mytopo.com. Very easy site to use. The smallest size map is a fairly reasonable price, but it can get spendy. I will be getting another one for a different area I hunt later this year.

The best that I discovered is mapper.acme.com. [8D]

Hang on, let me get the link for you cut 'n pasted in here.

http://mapper.acme.com

This site is absolutely mind blowing... Find your city and state,etc... and zoom in a little bit. Then, up on the upper right side of the screen, click on "DOQ". Man, you will even see your own truck parked in your driveway! :D

Check out USAPhotomaps from www.jdmcox.com. It is a free program that downloads topos and aerials from the terraserver database.

I don't think they get that small on that site. That is the only downfall.

That is pretty cool Butch,I zoomed in on a field close to one of the areas that I hunt and you could see a tractor pulling a plow working ground. Pretty cool.

RE: Aerial maps?

Thing I notice about these various sites is that one will have clearer pix of a particular spot than another site but then that site will have clearer pix ofdifferent spot.

Just as an example, Butch's link is very nice and easy to navigate but I can get better photos of the spot I hunt with "Flash Earth" or "Live Local"

If someone provided a service where I can zoom in anywhere to where I can see myself in my tree, I'd definitely subscribe. Problem with free sites is they never zoom in close with any realclarity.
