RE: Sick to Death
Your right. It was light enough to shoot when I was getting in my stand and not 15 minutes later that deer came through I watched him about 5 minutes before I shot and at 7:15 the sun was out. Thats what I remember. I was hunting in bottom land and everything was so gray. I just missed seeing the limb. I could see the tree and the base of the limb but not the full extent of it. I mean it wasnt as thick as a pencil. Amazing how something so small can have such a great impact on things. If I could have seen the limb I wouldnt have taken the shot. It was the only shot I had through what I thought was a clear lane. Thats why I took it. I thought I missed just by the reaction of the deer after the shot. But I kept replaying things in my head and I remembered the impact of the arrow and the last place I saw the fletching thats why I kept myself from shooting any other deer until I found the arrow and it was covered with hair and food.

RE: Sick to Death
I gess you did not have the time. But if you have a gut shot you should wait 8 hours or more before tracking. Sorry you lost the buck, That STINKS!

Yeah I mean I got down at 10 and went and got my cousin and we looked for 2 hours and trailed it till we lost the blood trail and then we went to lunch and came back picked it back up again until we had to leave. Total about 4 or 5 hours of tracking with no luck
