I just bought a Fall Woods.I think I'm going to wear it under my bibs.
Those of you that have one how do you wear it underneath or on top of your outfit.

I like the one that came with my summit climber. you just
step into each leg, pull the shoulder straps over your
shoulders, and buckle the front. I think it's the seat
of the pants, not sure

Bogoggle, the ones that come with Summit stands are Seat-o-the-Pants. Summit bought them out.
LAH, you are getting almost a unanimous answer here. I'd get him the SOP. Don't just grab one though. They come in different sizes. S, M, L etc (at least the last time I looked). It's probably still the best one going at this time. It's a litle rticky to get used to but after some time it can gotten into even in the dark. I can be worn under or over outer clothing (camo jacket)or, as I found out this year, even under a rain coat with hood.
Before you buy you might want to look at the Vest/Safety Harness Combo sold by Cabela's. I have no first hand knowledge about them but only suggest a look see. Nice thing about Cabela's you can order one of each and just send back the one you don't want.
I am one happy old hunter to see that you rate safety so high on the list. Afterall, you may only fall once to ruin a lifetime of hunting.

Seat of the Pants is by far the best investment i made this year. I wear it over my coat if its warm, but wear it under a layer or 2 when its cold. This allows me to put clothing on, or take it off without taking off my harness to do so. Its comfortable, and you dont even notice it. They make kids sizes and you can get them from the website.

You can wear it as a climbing belt and it works great for installing stands. Also if your hunting the same stand all the time you can purchase the 30 ft rope and be hooked in when you climbing to your stand.

Summit tree stands purchased SOP, so go to their website for detailed info.
