Mathews Bows and Matt McPherson
 

This past weekend I saw a show on TV about Matt McPherson and it was quite inspiring to see a CEO who seems to be so humble about his successful com[anies, Mathew's Archery and McPherson guitars. I am looking into a bow and I wasn't going to spend the extra $$$ for a Mathews but after seeing this I would rather spend the extra money and have it go to him. In addition their bows are great from what I hear. This will be my 1st bow.

Has anyone else seen this show?

I did, it was good. He is a good man weather people like his bows or not.

Yes, I saw a show on him and his companies. He appears to be a humble man . Any man that gives God the credit for all we have first off is a man after my own heart and I will seriously consider a Mathews for my next bow purchase.

He's in the business of selling bows. Do you think he's going to act like Bobby Knight?

Yes, saw it and really have a lot of respect for him. I think they make a quality bow and he does appear to be very humble and realize that he is lucky. If I'm not mistaken, his guitar business was first and that was how he got the ideas for the sound dampening.

Kind of my thoughts as well...I have yet to see any of the major players in the big-name companies act like jerks on TV.

I'm a bowtech shooter, but I'll give mathews credit. They make great bows and always have, McPherson is a great guy who is pretty humble. I've always been impressed with their customer focused approach.

Even if I wasn't a Mathews shooter I would've been impressed with that show. Mr. McPhearson seems to be a genuinely good person and also willing to give Godthe glory for his sucess.

I realize that, however I was talking more about all CEO's not just owners of Bow and hunting companies. As a whole, it is usually very uncommon to see a CEO give God credit for their success.

I didn't see this particular show this past week, but in the past one of the TV shows ( I think it was Bowhunter Mag. TV ) did a show on him and it was really good. Showed how he grew up and got into archery and hunting, then how he went into the Archery business, and the guitar business. I have also read some great articles on him. On the show the other night, did they tell that he also has a couple praise and worship CD's out and that he and his wife travel and perform in churches and crusades? I have read about the fact that he supports several ministries and charities with the money he has been blessed with from his businesses. He definitely makes it clear that he feels evrything is a blessing from the Lord and that he tries to be a good steward with what God has entrusted him with. I think that is very admirable and that he is really a great guy. I know that there are some people , and some right here on this forum, that don't see that as a big deal and and will always come back and question their motives, but it does mean someting to me. I have been shooting Mathews bows for quite a few years, and knowing that the company is owned and run by a quality person with those kind of morals makes me even happier to keep supporting them. Just watch the news and read the financial section of the USA Today every day, and you will see that CEO's like that are unfortanately the exception and not the rules these days.

I saw the show. It was great. he is an awsome person. I, too, am religious and was happy to hear what he said and how he incorporates this with every hunt he does, every bow he makes, and every thing that comes out of his mouth.
