Focus on pin or target?

So do you guys/gals focus on your pin and leave your target fuzzy when shooting or do you focus on the target and leave the pin fuzzy??

i was shooting yesterday and notice i always leave the pin fuzzy,,,but was wondering if some shot the other way.

I try to focus on the tip of the pin at all times.

I focus on the target, If I focus on the pin the target is a blur and you need to focus on a specific point on the target

Always on the target! If I focus on the pin and the target gets fuzzy do I want to take a shot at an animal I'm not seeing clearly? No, not me.

Both. I line the pin to the target and release. Both eyes open also.

For years I always focused on the pin with one eye closed. recently I started shooting by focusing on the target with both eyes open. My shooting has improved.

Same here... I focus on the target. I can't shoot with both eyes open. I just can't. Things get all "freaky" when I try.

Absolutely positively I am focused on nothing but the X. The human eye has a nack of centering things up, the pin will go where it needs. Your focus and attention needs to be on what you want to hit. You don't steer your car by looking 2 feet in front of the bumper at the road do you? You steer by looking a long ways down the road and let your subconsious line things up to get you there. Amazingly enough you usually stay between the lines.......;).

RE: Focus on pin or target?

Target always. I will slighty close ( squint )my left eye so it doesn't take over. I am right eye dominant but the left does blur my pin when wide open. That is the only way I can shoot with both eyes open. It keeps my pin clear and aides in seeing where the arrow hits " without watchingthe arrow "which is also a big no no. I don't take my eye of the target ( spot ) untilafter the hit. All a part of the follow through on both taget or animal.
