ok guys other than your must have equipment what is the one thing you will not go into the woods without and why?
I assume by must have equipment you mean my pocket knife bow and arrows my fanny and everything in or on it
#1 Cold Steel Trailmaster or any good Bowie.
Why? A big knife is truly mult-purpose.
Doubles as a hatchet but carries better(in my opinion).
To remove limbs if I decide to climb a tree or use natural cedar as a cover.
To dig holes for temporary outhouse or use dirt as a cover..
Good for loppin' the rear quarters loose and splits ribcages like butter...
It's simply deadly if needed as a weapon of last resort.
and so on...

I too will respond with.. confidence.

If I don't feel good about a spot or a particular treestand setup it's all over. I need that added edge of confidence in my position, setup, wind, location, equipment, and hunting ability. Without it all.. I am nothing.[>:]
