Deer log, keeping track of deer

I am interested in starting to log my every hunt, so I can start better prediciting deer movement and whatnot. I would love some advice on how to start a good log on my computer. I think some people use excel. I would love to know what you all keep track of weather wise, movement wise, time wise, ect.

All the advice will get greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!

I started logging all my huntslast year. I use a Word document and create a table with columns for date, time, location, weather, and observations. You could do something similar, whether it be in a spreadsheet or on a piece of paper. I guess a spreadsheet would be good if after a few years you want to do some sort of analysis ofthe information.

I keep a journal. I just write down all the conditions and what I seen, killed etc. Take a little note pad with you so you don't forget anything.

I found a great access database over on archery talk that a fellow hunter put together for free use. It's been great and I enter everything in there.

Mine's in excel. I note:

Date
Location
Weather conditions
No. of Deer seen
No. of Does
No. of bucks
No. in bow range
Notes

It takes about 30-60 seconds to make a journal entry.
