Mechanical broadhead users!

For those that have small rubber bands on their mechanicals,I've heard that dental floss works great instead of using the rubber bands. Does anyone do this?? Any other ideas/alternatives to the rubber bands. I am having a hard time finding replacements!

Thanks,
TP

Go to your local dentist/orthodontist and buy a bag of oral rubberbands....VERY inexpensive and they work perfectly fine.

You may want to take one in when you buy them, just to ensure you get the right size.....They range greatly in sizes...

i have a felling that that would not work good becuase dental floss is pretty strong. I would stick with rubber bands.

dental floss works perfectly fine but tying them all the time is a pain in the arse.

or just go with a head that dont need the rubber bands like the NAP Spitfires.

stick with the rubber bands unless you have a bow thats super fast they will be your best choice, one of the best I have found is rocket steelheads they are slightly smaller and blow through deer, they also come with enough rubber bands to last several year, unless you shoot your heads into target in that case use the dental floss.. I baught 6 steelheads about 5 years ago and still have rubber bands left over, just change them out every season or when one gets damaged (hardly ever)...goood luck
