I paid $150 for a Bushnell yardage pro 400 a few years ago when I was into competitive golf. It's always worked fine, for bowhunting.

Bought one of these last year and it works for most of my purposes. If you have any small limbs in the way, however, you won't get a good reading. That's where the more expensive rangefinders earn their money.

I dopped the cash for a 440 before this last season and couldn't be happier with it. I've always had a problem judging yardage (off by 1 - 5 yards usually) and this rangefinder really helped this year.

if you use it for bowhunting only, the 440 is great. It's pretty tough to get a reading over 400 yards. personally i would spend 200$ and get a 600 off of ebay.

That's the very model I own as well, and it's a dandy. Who needs more yardage than 440 anyway? For bowhunting it's nice and small and fits right into your pocket. besides it waterproof as well.;)
I second maytom
