arrow fletching colors

do you guys use one color on your vanes? the reason im asking is because you would have to buy a whole new pack of vanes of a different color so you could have the one that is different. just realized that and wondered what you guys do

i use 2 orange and a white.. most visible for me.. and i just went to the local bow shop and they put them on for me.. free with arrows. if they put them on for you they should just charge you for how many fletchings you have put on

For the past decade or so, I did just what you realized -- bought one pack that was of a different color for my cock feathers... The last time I fletched though, I just put all barred white on.

I guess if you wanted to get technical, two of my feathers are white with black stripes, while the cock feather is black with white stripes! ;)[8D]

Have always had different colors for my fletchings. When I get my new arros setup for my new bow next month, I will be going with a white and orange fletching setup.

White wrap with deer skulls on the end, two red vanes and one white vane, lime green nock. It shows up extremely well in snow and non snow conditions. Just my preference I guess. The brighter the better!!!

I used two kelly green and one white for the late season.....all on a 6" reflective wrap. I like having one a different color for the cock vane recognition factor.

I'll readjust and get more hidden colors for use during turkey season....then back to reflectives and bright, visible colors for whitetails.

GregMO: Maybe it's an optical illusion, but some of your arrows appear to have some serious helical and others only look to be slightly so? Right or wrong???

When I shot feathers, up until this year, I shot 2 blue and a white mostly. This year I went with two Flow Green and a White.
