Buckwing bobbing head deer decoy
 

I just found this on another site and this product is so new it isn't even on Buckwings website. The info I read said suggested retail $229. I have the Buckwing bobbing head breeding pair turkey decoy andit isvery realistic. Deer decoys have always lacked movement;I just may have to add one of these to my arsenal for next year. If this is like my turkey decoy, the head will bob with the lightest breeze and will move left to right and up and down with realism.

ive never seen anything like that before.. but just a cheap 3d deer target will work at the right time of year.. this might help though

Looks like a great improvement over non-moving decoys. Much more realistic, but I'd let him grow another year.:D

Me neither dwd. I won't lug them very far.I use decoys now and then during the prerut-rut time near a farmers' house where the does like to hang near his home or where I can drive up to a field edge and dump it off. I have a redi-doe that I put antlers on. Sometimes they work and sometime they don't. Bucks are more inclined to accept them than a doe in my experience, to have one moving its' head though might be a nice feature. Nothing works all of the time in any type of hunting; that is why it is called hunting and not shooting.I think that if one wants to use a decoy though; this would be the best one out there with getting into electronic moving ones which are illegal as far as I can tell in IA and even if legal; an electronic moving one just doesn't seem right to me. Native Americans used decoys with real animal hides so I feel that using non-electronic decoys is fine. I am sure these will be under $200 when they hit the stores.

Yea, I will have to see one in person. Nothing that a little flat paint can't take care of.

That sure looks like a Carry Lite Deer decoy with the head pushed through the ribbed portion that secures the head in a fixed position. I have a Carry Lite and my hunting buddy does as well. From time to time he pushes the head through as it is in your attached picture and allows the head to bend down so it appears that it is feeding in the bean field.

After looking again, that is definately a Carry Lite. Anyone else agree?

That is a cool idea. A bit pricey, but definitely cool. I wouldn't use it here in PA, it would get shot too quickly.[:o]

That does look pretty cool ... I was wondering when they were gonna get around to making one of those.
I think $229.00 is a bit high for it though I'm sure some hunters will cough up the dough and get one.
Do you know if theres a doe version and can they makethe tail wiggle in the wind too ?

I think the movement would make it a much better decoy.

The Carry-Lite's legs are farther apart (side to side)....and the head itself has some subtle differences....

I agree with AE; it's not a Carry-Lite... but that was my first thought when looking at the pic, and I've even got one! :)
