Sleeve guard thingamijie??

I was watching Bill Jordan on the tube this morning and he put this thing on his arm that looked like a leg warmer to keep his sleeve away from the bow string. Looked like a good idea but I have never seen them for sale. I thought I saw a Realtree logo on it. Does anyone know if these are available commercially?

I've seen them for sale somewhere a couple years ago. They were even advertising it. Look on the Realtree site. You can make one yourself with the foot cut off an old worn out wool sock or something. Just pull it on.

That's it....I got mine from Realtree's website, but to be honest, it's not very good. I didn't even get one season out of it before it fell apart. I would just use an old sock. Cut the foot out of it and sew the end of it to keep it from unraveling.

OR, you could use an armguard. Realtree's is a neat idea, but it just didn't hold up very well.

I use an ACE bandage dyed brown. It's easy to put on and you can compress your sleeve as tight as you want.

Not necessary with my new Enigma.

The velcro bands for the arms is pretty much a built in arm guard.

Maybe I'm just the common Archer....but all I use is my hard plactic arm guard for target shooting (3 black elastic thin straps that wrap around your clothing/jacket and hook into 3 holes on the arm guard). It cost me a whopping $6.99 and hasn't unraveled yet!!!

I've got two of the Team Realtree arm guards in the pics above. Like mentioned earlier, they didn't stay together very well. I put mine under the sewing machine and just gave it a couple extra stitches to help it out. Has held up better since that but I still think they need to give the pattern some more thought. I do like it though, definitely does it's job.
