RE: 100 ft lbs of KE
What? Is 100 ftlbs of KE good? Yes and whose getting that out of a bow?
An arrow with 40 ft lbs will easily take a whitetail and more. If that is a serious question perhaps you need to read the other thread, http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1880096 |
RE: 100 ft lbs of KE
How much do your arrows weigh?
If you are shooting 276 fps and getting 100 ft lbs of KE, than your arrows would have to weigh 595 grains. That's a very heavy arrow. The Beman 350's in your signature would not be nearly that heavy. Something's not quite right in your figures..... |
RE: 100 ft lbs of KE
my arrows are 440
I did the calulator from the other post and it turned out 100 ft lbs of KE? |
RE: 100 ft lbs of KE
Please list your specs, your arrow weight as mentioned, and your speed please because that zmax listed in your signature doesn't have it in it unless your draw length is crazy long.;)

RE: 100 ft lbs of KE
At 440 grains and 276 fps your Kinetic Energy is 74.44.
That's still pretty dang good. You could kill anything in North America and most of the stuff in Africa with that. here's a KE calculator: http://www.archeryhq.com/kin.htm |

ORIGINAL: whitetailsoldier my fps is 292 I had it checked at my local shopand my arrows are 440so this calculator has less fields to fill but it reads 83.32What is that knowledge used for?? The calculation just gives some information pertaining to "power", in a bullet we might say, "Knock down power"..understand. I know that's simplistic but just an example. |
