Im 25 years old I've been deer hunting since i was 6years old with dad and my brother and i wish i new everything but i dont. i shot alot of bow combination's, different arrows and broadheads. I've been in alot of fights over penetration and i like a heavy arrow its more forgiving in wind and will not deflect as easy, speed dont mean alot to me. It dont matter how fast The arrow is if you cant hit The target. I tune my arrows to my poundage the more poundage you use the more your arrow will flex even a carbon arrow.60Ibs is plenty plus it is nice in tight situations and the cold. I have noticed its not the speed that helps it hurts because the faster the bow the more pull weight and lighter the arrow or more draw length and you will fatique quiker with alot of weight. I shoot a mathews i like how quit it really is it should shoot 310fps. but im shooting about 270fps. 310fps is overkill.Dont get me wrong i like all bows i also have a long bow and a recurve they all have there ups and downs its not the bow its the shooter. I have 2 limb savers on each limb what a difference.Speed dont bring the deer back to the truck. "proper shot placement will". I have also noticed angle of your shot and were your arrow hits. you might hit bone one time and the next miss all bones if your lucky. I have had pass throughs alot but sometimes i dont and thats with the same equipment no changes. I wish everybody a good and safe christmas.:D

Macho don't got jack sheet to do with any of it. Rob's not sticking arrows in the ground beyond the deer for who the hell knows why.....There are so many variables to consider, we could go on for years....Personally, I think it's the mechanicals, but that's my opinion. I wasn't there, I didn't see them, I don't know for sure. He's putting out more than enough KE, and more than enough momentum. Maybe the deer are moving one of their legs forward in time and in effect "pinching" the arrow to a stop.....I dunno....

I do know one other thing....If I drop my finished arrow weight down to 375 grains and it shoots 310 fps, or even 305 fps, I've got MORE than enough of both momentum and KE to do the job. So to the original question, why wouldn't I?
