would this work ladies arrow?
a carbon express thunderstorm (8.3 grains per inch) with montec 100 grain head aswell I was thinking of adding luminoks to help learn arrow flight aswell when hunting to aid in knowing where the shot connected but my main reason is also to add a little more wieght..sound like a good setup for a ladies hunting arrow or still to light for a 40lb draw with around a 24.5"-25" arrow??

RE: would this work ladies arrow?
I think you'll find you're going to have a problem with those luminocks working out of a low poundage bow. The arrow sounds fine if it's matches the bow. I'd rather have a true cut on contact but that's me. Something you can do up razor sharp. Len got some Aluminocks in the other day and we were playing with different poundages. They finicky enough without the low poundage.

RE: would this work ladies arrow?
Your roughly looking at a 350ish grain arrow, out of a 40 lb bow or roughly just shy of 9 grains per pound of draw weight, although a light arrow,..... per grounds of pound your not bad and I agree with Davidmil,[&:], a good cut on contact head would be perfered.

RE: would this work ladies arrow?
yep--9gr per lb of draw wgt. with a Magnus stinger(or other cut-on-contact head)and you'll zip thru any deer out to 20yds.I'd probably go for a little more wgt up front and use a 125gr head

RE: would this work ladies arrow?

RE: would this work ladies arrow?
just an update guys I ended up getting an arrow that about 9.5-10 grains an inch, so this with a nice cut on contact head should do nicely, is there a method to calculate your over all arrow setup wieght?

RE: would this work ladies arrow?
Well you should do all that planning and calculating before you by to make sure you're close to an acceptable arrow. Here's the best site I know of for determining just about anything you want. It takes a little browsing to find out where everything is but once you seeit you'll book mark the site.
