Hunting Knives

My brother collects antlers for making knives. Here are some pics of some of his work. He makes the sheaths also. Hope you like 'em!

Thats pretty cool GregH, does he sell them also? If so, does he have an online store. What about the sheds, does he find them all himself, or does he buy them off people? Pretty cool regardless.

I always wanted one my friends grandfather to make me a knife out of antler with a 6"-7" drop point blade on it. But he died before I could ask him. I need to learn how to do that stuff. Those knives are awesome, beautiful work.

Nice knives!! I have been wanting to try making some handles out of antler. I'll post pics if they turn out>

These knives are my brothers display. He will be making more of them that will be for sale. I gave one each to my farmer friend and his son for letting me hunt. They were more than pleased. When I got back from that trip, my brother gave me one also. I've been trying pretty hard to get a chance to try it out![:-]

Beautiful and no disrespect but most are way too big for a hunting knife. It amazes me to see a hunter carrying a pig sticker. A pefect knife for gutting and skining is more like this one you posted(below), the smaller of the two. Very Nice and thanks for sharing. I have 2 made of antler, I don't use eithe for hunting, too big. Actually the smaller one below would be even more perfect with a shorter, slightly thicker blade.

Your brother is very talented.

Rob, the blades on those two are about 4" long. Maybe not as big as you think. I knew I should have put a ruler in there!;)

Darn good looking knives Greg. There's a man that live 20 or so miles from me that makes knives also and my wife bought me one a couple of years ago for Christmas. Still one of the best gifts that I've received.
