First shed of the year

I found this shed last week. My first shed of the year and it was definately from this year. Not a huge one but still cool that i found it while i was goose hunting...

Cool, that looks like a freshy to me. Can you still see a bit of waxy ring on the base where it was attached? that is usualy an indication of a very fresh one. Do you shed hunt in the off season or usually find em by chance?

Cool but kind of sad too. It means the end of the hunting season is near.

Yeah, that really bums me out... 'cause I'm stillafter 'em... Means if I get lucky enough to connect, I better not pull him out by his antlers! [:o]

Yeah, there was that sort of waxy ring around the base and also some hair so it was extremely fresh.

I shed hunt in the off season but here in MO our season lasts till Jan 15th so i just stumbled upon this one by chance while goose hunting.
