Worked out "fine"?
In my eyes and I'm sure a lot of others it would be considered unethical
As I said.....To each his own.
Thanks for proving my point.

The word "normally" was in reference to when I hit the shoulder. I try to slip it right behind the shoulder.

I personally don't rely on Luck when it comes to taking a shot! Anyway to each his own, good luck with the quartering to shot! JMO!

It all depends on the angle and the shooter!!
What someone in a classroom "recommends" is just that a recommendation. It certainly does not apply to every possible angle and shot oppurtunity you might encounter in the woods and doesn't take into consideration individual shooter capabilities.

I'd agree on the angle portion. and there is some overlap. What one person might say is a slightly quartering to category, I may still place in a broadside category. I don't believe there is only one 90 degree broadside category. But when someone says they need to blow through heavy bone to connect on a double lung or heart, then I believe there is a problem even if some kind of wild personal predetermined percentage are met. The other problem I have is when the margin of error open is small on the quartering to shot. I believe you are implying this with the word "shooter" in the above quote. I really don't care how qualified an idividual is on a 3-d target.Accuracy is not the only variable in the equation.
I might agree with some of this. But to tell you the truth, the more experience I have in achery and bowhunting, the more I see the "basics" as being important, truthfuland respectable. I never try to applypersonal "elitism" to any of it. Maybe it's just me, and I'm at fault.

Respectfully disagree.
All I can say for sure is that in the clip there was plenty of room to hit the vitals even atthe quartering towards angle,
