Silicone on whisker or not?

am now using a whisker bicuit. Have heard to use a little silicon spray on it to dampen sound. Is this a good idea or not?

I've heard that as well, and apparently it works. It also serves as a waterproofing agent to keep the whiskers dry. I think Carolina makes stuff specifically for that, if I'm not mistaken.

I always carry a small tube of powdered graphite and squirt it on parts that rub. I used to use it on my rest when I used a drop-away and it helped. I used it on the whisker biscuit this year, but noise doesn't seem to be a problem for me with the whisker biscuit anyway.

Personally I have been using the WB for 3 seasons now and I love it. I don't use any silicon spray and I really don't have any noise coming from my WB most of the time. And even when I do have a slight noise.. it is too late for the deer.:D

I have been using a Whisker Biscuit for a while nowand I have never put anything on it. Mine is not loud at all. Are you talking about noise on the draw or when the bow is fired?

I think they're talking about on the draw, but personally I don't think the sound from a WB is a factor.

Only on a dead quiet day morning with no wind will it be a factor. On the quietest days I'm pretty sure the deer can hear mine. But once I'm drawn it's too late for them....
