yes this happen to me and my dad. So we signed a release form and he let use hunt. But the next year we had to lease the land from him and then he kicked us off the next year after that. i know how you fell.

YUP, when we hunted the monestary we signed a release and further took all responsibility if someone got hurt in one our stands. While they were at it we assumed liability for damages. Carcass disposal and all sorts of things were included, like where ti field dress etc.

I'm from the old school were a mans word is as good as anything . He must have some other issuse .do not blame yourself ,if he gave you his word then took it back in one sentence I would not want to be on his land after that.Who knows what you might have foundyourself up against next time you see him.

I read a small news article in Outdoor Life (it was within the last few months) about a landowner in PA that let a friend go hunting on his land. The friend accidentally shot the landowner's neighbor. A jury declared the LANDOWNER 10% responsible for the accident! I hope this does not open the floodgates for "No Hunting" signs posted on properties we once had permission to hunt because landowners are in fear of being sued.

It sounds like there is another reason he dosent want you to hunt on his land anymore.
