Default Same genetics?

Does this look like it could be a 1st and 2nd generation buck? I don't know the exact family history so who knows what generation it actually is

boy it sure looks that way a deer that my dad shot this year had almost the same looking rack as one he shot almost 4 years ago even where the rack was goofy in one place on the old one is the same way on the one he shot this year, and it was also shot on the same farm as the older one.

They look extremely similar if they aren't.

I just thought it was pretty cool...they were actually shot the same year. I shot the big guy and he was laying there then the smaller guy popped out and I shot him too. We party hunt in Minnesota so there was nothing illegal about shooting the 2 bucks. I just thought it was pretty neat, because if you look at the brow tines (or lack there of on the small one) they are spitting images as far as the difference between each side. One side is longer than both on each deer.
Too bad I was trigger happy and didn't have the same ethics as today. I should have let the smaller guy walk, although he was a 'nice' deer for our area, and the nine pointer was considered a monster. The nine weighed at least 250 field dressed, 3 of us were taking turns dragging and we were pretty winded by the end of it. ya live and ya learn I guess.

Thats pretty neat that you have the matching racks. Id have to say, in my not so professional opinion, that they are definately sharing a few genes.
