Default Question about Buck Pictures

Just today i got these pictures of this buck in GA. he looks to be fairly beat up and i was wondering if this was natural or if it appears to be from a fight or what. also does his neck still look swollen and would this mean they are still rutting. and finally if the wounds are from fighting would ratlling hurt this late. thanks for any help

In that first picture it looks like the side of his neck and body are pretty beat up. In the other pictures you can't really see it so well. It could be some scars left from fighting in the rut, but they don't look too fresh. In the last picture, I really don't think that all of those marks could come from fighting (especially that mark on his leg). He looks like a healthy deer, but his fur is kind of messed up. Maybe he just woke up from a nap and he was sleeping on his side

The first couple pictures are from fighting, almost 100 % on that.

The last picture looks as though he has been laying down and has frost on him.Look at the ground and then look at him.

The 2nd rut is about or should have already kicked in so some rattling may not hurt and I would say yea,his neck would still be swolen due to rut.

There's not usually any frost left by 6pm. He seems to have some scarring or a skin condition and it lookls worse from different angles.

That boy has been through the ringer. The neck injuries I would bet are from fighting, but that right rear leg scar might be a car? Just guessing.

He dosent look like an old deer but not a young one either he must have gone through a couple of years of fighting toget those scars.
