RE: Dang! He Shot My Deer Decoy!!!
Brain,
Are you talking about the decoy or the hunter that shot it |
RE: Dang! He Shot My Deer Decoy!!!
What a bone head. I would be a little scared to be in the woods with people like that in the woods.

The term that best describes this "dork" as bogobble said it best is that he obviously ha snot killed many deer and is DESPERATE!! That would make him a deperate dork! RE: Dang! He Shot My Deer Decoy!!!
Brian,
Did you ask him if he noticed your blind while he was standing there for 20 minutes? He must have had some skills if he was able to get within 30 yards of your decoy without your having detected himl. Oh my soul, that had the potential for becoming a very tragic situation. It has become very apparent to me this year as I have oberved some "hunters" in our camp in West Virginia, and as I have read this and other stories that there are some folk who buy a boy, become "accurate" enough to kill a deer and go into the woods. They have no respect for the game they are pursuing nor for their fellow hunters. When stories of this type get out, it paints all hunters with a broad brush, not just the individual who has a severe case of rectal/cranial inversion. No wonder he couldn't see well enough to tell it was a decoy and not a live deer!! Bill Praise the Lord, He is worthy |

I had cut back into the brush (THICK briars and shrubs) and had the blind set in enough to where he had to get within 25-30 yards or so before I could even see him,and then just barely. I didn't hear him walking up on me because in the MIDDLE of the finger is standing water, and it sounded like about a dozen ducks having a party in there all morning long. They were too loud to really hear anything walking throught the cornfield. Found out today that his wife works nights at the pkant I work at... a guy I used to work with works with her, and she said they've all been raggin him pretty hard about it at home .LOL [*]NRA Annual Member www.nra.org[*]TNUSA Annual Member www.tnugent.com[*]NAHC[*]GOA[*]IDPA |
RE: Dang! He Shot My Deer Decoy!!!
Reminds me of a guy in Oregon 15 years ago who shot a hunter in the head with an arrow. Guy was sitting on a stump in full camo but had a little color on his camo hat. Shooter told the judge he thought he was looking at a blue grouse. Judge took away his hunting priveledges for LIFE and so be it. The guy did survive the hit which was a miracle. I wouldnt be too quick to sit behind a decoy without a kevlar suit.
