I think it is not infected, it looks like it is dry(not full of puss which would be bad0, so it is healing. I see the horozontal line also....hmm judging by that angle looks like a real idiot shooting[:@] if it was a bow, although might have been a gun from strait on, hopefully not attempting a 'texas heart shot' ...I am sure the deer will be fine as long as the winter isnt too hard, just a flesh wound even though pretty large.

if you look at the dates...the pic on 11/24 at 901 am shows the middle of the scar "scabbing" some what...then look at the picture two days later on 11/26 at 1151 the area is very inflamed and red..that is not a good sign..she may make it, but it really depends on weather and conditions of the area she is in.
