I shot my buck for this year. He was a 8pt w/ a 15-16 in spread and 7 in. g-2 not my biggest but one I am proud of all the same. I was sitting in a gap about 20 yds. wide between two large expanses of wood and he came walking right down the gap trail. I had to let him walk by me so he wouldn't see me draw. I shot him quartering away got the liver and 1 lung he went about 150 yds. and bedded down and never got back up. I will post pic of him later.

hunter101, congrats on a nice buck. Do you hunt private or public land? I'm in North Central Ohio. Been playing hide & seek with a BIG buck behind my house this fall. Saw him this morn, didn't offer a clear shot. I hid in the wrong deadfall.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> He passed within 5 yds of the next on over, 30 yds from me. Maybe next time.

Congrads on your Ohio buck, have been invited to shotgun hunt in Ohio , don't know if I will be able to make it. If I do it will be in the Dayton area.

Sound's like you got a nice Buck......Congratulations.....I passed up 2 small buck's in southeast Ohio this year in my stand....Will hunt this tuesday....calling for north wind and that's only day I can hunt this stand...after that the bullet's will be flying during gun season....will watch for your pictures!!!!!

Congrats! I just spoke to a buddy of mine that arrowed a Half rack buck, 4 on one side and a brow tine on the other. He was in Ohio. Hope to get there some day :)

Congratulations Hunter101. These dang Ohio bucks can be really crafty at times. I mostly hunt public land so I have experienced many of the wonderful highs and lows. Hope you get the pics posted soon!
