What would you do if you seen a dog chaseing a deer?
 

This really pisses me off i got off work today, and decided to go hunting where ivekilled a couple of monsters, and ive seen one this year that will be on the boon and crocket list of monster, i start walking towards my stand and i noticed a buck already there looking the other direction, pretty soon it runs like a bat out of hell, i look and there is a dog chaceing it!!!!! at this time im soo pissed off i take a 45 yard shot i missed just below it, it runs (dog) into the woods about 1 min later it comes at me and i shot it with my arrow and i hit it in the front and the arrow is about 3/4 quaters in the body the dog died a short time after!! i like dogs but what would you do in this situation!!! a perfect hunting spot and possible ruined for the year!!! help me out!!!!!

All I can say is wow. I dont know that I would have gone so far as to kill somebody's dog, but in your instance I would have surely contemplated it. Idunno man, there are too many variables here to chime in anymore. On one hand I commend you for it, on the other I think that maybe you need counceling for anger management. :eek:

I was raised to love dogs,and shoot them if they`re wild deer chasin dogs! IMO you did the right thing :)

The dog is doing what comes naturally. I always imagine the dog as some little girls pet. The dog isn't the problem, it's the owner. I won't harm the critter, he's doing his thing.

i agree with all of ya thanks for you opinion its just frustrating to see what you have done all spring and summer to produce and this happens i also forgot to mention this isnt the first time weve and problems with these dogs, and it came after me too so ya i do regret shooting it but if the owner wont fix the problem what is there left to do?
