Oneshot... this is the land of tree huggers. It's also a neighborhood of half acre lots. There are houses with fluffy and little kids all around. No hunting here. I go through about 50-75 pounds of corn a week when I'm feeding and a half bushel of apples. These deer come 1/4 mile to get to my yard. There was a beautiful doe in the yard this morning at 8. I've walked out back before and had deer 15-20 yards away just stand there and look at me with a "WHAT" look. Then they leave. Quite often when going off to hunt I walk out the door and there stands a few deer. The most I've know of at one time was 11. The most in a night was 18 with 7 bucks. I've had 7 yard encounters while raking leaves and all sorts of deals.

But can you get out of their safety zones, that is the question.;)

They are still beautiful to look at. How's the buck situation during peak rut, chances of kids getting hurt?

I have a friend who lives in a similiar situation in Pittsburg. He says he watches little children hand feed very large bucks marshmellows. He just cringes and yells at the parents.

Been there done that too; it's called sick of cleaning deer, freezer is full, do I really want to dress this tonight, damn a Crown Royal sounds good when I get out of here; if I shoot her than I have to put my drink idea on hold.
