Non Cutable Treestand Locks

Are there any types of locks that boltcuters cant go through? Supposedly there are uncutable cables, does anybody know where I can find these, or something close to it? Possibly at Bass Pro or Gander Mountain?

try a Krypto cable by Kryptonite. They are available at bike stores and such. vVery strong but nothing will stop a determined thief.

Those large round Fort Knox brand padlocks are pretty well bolt cutter proof , there's no room to cut the hasp and the casing is very stout . For a cable or chain to resist a bolt cutter it has have a diameter greater than the average jaw opening size for the cutter most likely to be used , generally 3/8" or larger cable/chain will frustrate most thieves . Thieves are creatures of opportunity by nature , the harder you make it for them to steal the more likely they will be to move on to an easier target .

This lock and chain is uncuttable. The would be thief would need to cut the stand (thus ruining it). It is actually a motorcyle lock but is one tough lock. Downside, (it costs about $80.00, and is heavy, but your stand will still be there when you need it.)

Unfortunately, technology today works both ways--for & against.
I myself thought that a heavier chain/cable and lock would dsists the criminals. I was sure wrong.
The suckers are now using portable toolsfitted with grinding wheels and this goes through almost anything--and I mean anything.
I lost two complete standsby this method.
