Wow...quite impressive. Does anyone know a scientific explanation for this? It looks like may have some latent moose genes, as strange as that sounds.

I seriously doubt that they are palmated due to any moose genes. Palmation of the antlers is not as uncommon as you might think, I think it probably has to do with a combination of genetics and diet / habitat in which the deer lives. It happens more than you think even though it usually is not in as big of a place or covering as much of an antler is it is on that monster.

Looks Like an early season deer to me, look at the green grass, and that has to be a mid west buck, and grass here in the mid west is not green this time of year. Is'nt that the Hoyt girl?
