Default license fee for whitetail

Just wanted to ask this question. What do you pay in you home state to hunt whitetail? Recently our DNR has proposed to double the fee's.[:@]here in Michigan the fee is 30.00 currently and supose to go to 70.00. This is a combo license, which alows a hunter to shoot one with a bow one with a gun or however you want. Is this to much to pay? I think so. Wonder where all the money goes?

I think I pay around $68 here in NY. Itcovers all seasons including small game and fishing. It also gives you two chances in a toe tag free.

Here in Tennessee you pay $135 for a combination license. That includes fishing. If you buy them separately it is $28 for fish and small game then archery is another $27 gun is another $27 and muzzle loader is another $27 and a permit for WMA is another $27. I could be off a dollar or two but its very close.I have a Sportsman Lifetime which covers everything. Two years ago if you bought a Sportsman and you were 40 years old it would have cost you 41275 now it is 41750. If u are over 65 it is now $275. In some states you don't need a license if u r over 65 and a resident.

In IL. I pay:
Sportsman license (Hunting and Fishing) 24.75
Archery deer tags(Includes 1 buck and one doe) 26.00
Archery turkey tag (1 turkey either sex) 5.50

I'm not sure what a firearm deer permit is because I don't gun hunt. However you do have to buy it seperately.

It's not a bad deal. 2 years ago it was 140.00, people b!tched about the increase but it didn't bother me too much, I enjoy the privelige to hunt and fish!

I believe I get an extra deer tag in there as well, hunter choice! It has changed so much this year the DNR were sending me tags months after I bought the license! I can buy antlerless tags all day long in the units I hunt for 12.00!

Michigan is a different story for me. I own property there but not a resident. I think I payed 356.00 for a Combo Archery/Gun deer license, turkey and small game! Like I said it doesn't bother me! I'll pay it, I've spent more money on less meaningful things!

When I was about 10 years old my dad bought me a lifetime hunting license for $125.00. The only thing I need to buy in my state is a federal duck stamp if I go duck hunting. Deer tags in Oklahoma are $20.00. I have shot well over 40 deer with my bow and several turkey's. I would say this license has been paid for several times.
