Well then, I'm glad I could clear that up. A more genuine individual you'll never meet, more people should be so "good".

RE: Enigma camo/design - my observations

I talked to Chuck over the phone for about an hour today. Man does he make customer service his specialty. I had a lot of unique and custom ideas for a suit. He is going to try to do them all and answer my ultimate hunting suit wishes. He waited while my wife took measurements for all the duds. After getting the numbers he said he would be in touch with how he could help. If I had a dollar for everytime I felt put off by the "outdoor industry" I'd bought them all by now. Well I would give all that money back to Chuck for the CUSTOMER SERVICE he has already provided.

I can't wait to see what he comes up with! I have till the 11th of January to get some stand time in. I needed a reason to get back in the stand. Here it comes!

mercs, that's a fantastic animal. Chuck says if anybody, anybody has a favorite piece of clothing they can no longer find and it's no good, he'll tear it apart and make that exact piece in Enigma/Wolfskin. Where else can you get a specialty item like that in a great camo?

I talked with Chuck a while before buying my suit. He's a card. I ordered the next day and he was happy to hear back from me. I didn't special order or nothing, just like the camo and wanted to try it cause i heard such great things about wolfskin. I have been impressed ever since. My hats off to Chuck.

Thanks again Rob! This year, once again, Ifound my own identity within my hours onstandand the animals with which I've shared the woods. Hopefully next year all memories in Enigma! I wonder if Chuck would name a line of clothes the Mercs Suit?

I personally can't say enough nice things about Chuck.
Chad

Well what about all the bad things you told me about himon the phone last night:):D

Just kidding since I have known Chuck I would take a guess and say we have spoken on the phone for around 2 thousand hours glad my cell has free minutes after 7pm and weekends:D

Now that's not nice Aussie!!! Or in Chuck's words, "Ya Bastard!" We all know Chuck is a super guy. I couldn't even make something bad up about the guy! How can anyone argue with all these personal stories about him?
He's pretty ugly...and that's not made up.

RE: Enigma camo/design - my observations

SB,

Seems like we were thinking alike. After wearing my Enigma for the first time I got Chuck on the phone to give him my comments...at his request. We talked about the pass through slot in the back for the safety tether and a few other changes that I personally would make. I think you'reright that the tether is being worked into the line as an overall good thing that most everyone would use. Some other changes were moreof a personal choice thatmay or may not be good for the overall line.
As someone else posted, Chuck will be more than willing to custom make anything you want. My stuff is cut 3" longer than normal (I'm 6'6") and he did it without blinking an eye.
You won't find better customer service, but even if you don't buy Enigma, Chuck isjust a great guy to talk to on the phone and shoot the BS with.

ORIGINAL: SBGobblers

The "changes" I was speaking of were NOT related to the cargo pockets. I suggested Chuck add a grommet in the back for the hunters' tehter to pass thorugh. He's added that option. I also suggested (after standing in the rain for an hour and a half one day) that he change the collar to a 2 button, squared off version that wouldn't funnel rain in when it was turned up. I haven't heard back on that one.....but it's not in my hands, anymore. I also suggested an optional strap that would serve as a place to rest the cam/idler bottom wheel when standing with the bow in hand (to reduce fatigue in the bow arm). Still don't know if he'll add it.....but it's something I bet an individual could add.

The no pockets thing is a PERSONAL decision. That won't be an across the board change, at all. MOST people love the cargo pockets.

Even though I'm not wearing it mainly because I'm being a cheap Bassturd, I can 100% back up everyone's statements regarding Chuck and dealing with him. I know him personally and he's not a great guy, he's one of the best.......buy with confidence.:)

Ya know, guys, I am completely overwhelmed with the many great responses to this post. I apologize for any problems or oversights that may have occurred over the past several months, but quite honestly, I never believed this thing would grow this big, this fast. I just wanted to build a few suits to get out there and read the response and it kind of snowballed into an absolutely incredible undertaking that really did take me by surprise. If there have been emails I've not answered, it's probably due to my spam filters blocking them for one reason or another. I've had to completely shut down the Guest Book due to an unbelievable volume of spam porn and drug sites just jamming it full every day. Please remember, this stuff is not made overseas in volume, it's made one-at-a-time, right here in the USA. If you know anything about the garment industry, you know that once the trade gates opened and out products started going overseas to produce them cheaper and in greater numbers, it marked the beginning of the end of having good and great sewers here in this country. The only experienced sewers left and now in their 60's and 70's, and our young woman never picked up the needle where these experienced professional sewers left off. The government began re-training programs to give the out-of-work sewers new jobs and here we are today, struggling to find true professional sewers. Enough of my ramblings, I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support and encouragement. It's probably the only thing that keeps me doing this; it certainly isn't the money or hunt opportunities. I have all of about 10 hours in the woods this year, and that was with my 12 year old son, some of the best 10 hours of my life, especially being with him when he killed his first deer, a nice little 6 point. Quite a memorable time! But isn't that what this is all about!
Thanks again for everything and please get a hold of me with any questions or problems or advice, if I don't answer your email, call me anytime, (570) 233-2537

On a serious note.....

Chuck's always been available to speak about the product. He's also......I hope he don't mind me saying....got a human side that's hard to find in business, today. Camo or no camo.....I'm happy to know him.

It doesnt hurt that he produces a fine product, either. It is.
